- mom-and-pop candy store
It’s been over 70 years since its establishment! Japanese classic-style mom-and-pop candy shop, Awajiya, has been making countless touching stories with locals for almost three-quarters of a century. Awajiya used to be a local restaurant in town. One day, the current owner (3rd generation) started selling crepes which became popular among local kids in the area. Ever since then, a wide variety of Japanese snacks have been lined up in the shop. Because of its popularity with different age groups, it's been featured in various media. Awajiya is definitely one of the few places where people from all generations get together and enjoy a wonderful time!
